What Would You Do If Your Television Stopped Working?

Turns out Joe the Plumber ain’t really a plumber.  Nor is he a “Joe”.

Stop lying to me.  Stop lying to yourself.  Stop spreading the lies.  Turn off the television.  Go outside and enjoy the real world.

  1. Interesting etymological note on he word “television”.

Origin: New Latin, from Greek tēle-, tēl-, from tēle far off
    Function: combining form

So, tēle-: distant, far off + vision: a manifestation to the senses of something immaterial, a thought, concept, or object formed by the imagination

distant concepts made material, ideas and imaginings that are not one’s own

“Look, not at visions, but at realities.” – Edith Wharton
