In the Land of Giants

Atlanta has remained mostly untouched by the likes of architectural superstars, or “starchitects” as they are sometimes called.  Though it has left the city bereft of any jaw-dropping, eye-popping monolithic works of “starchitecture”, Atlanta has plenty of under-appreciated (in my not-so-humble opinion) structures that mostly speak a language of quiet elegance and restrained flourishes that aren’t completely without purpose.  I present to you a small sample of such works as seen through my eyes and camera lens.  Most of these were taken of the course of a beautiful spring day and evening.  If my recent flurry of photographic activity is to be any indicator, there will be more to follow.  Many more…
